Housing Information

The conference will be held at the Semiahmoo Resort, in Blaine, Washington, USA. Blaine is right on the US-Canada border and is approximately 3 hours from Seattle and 45 minutes from Vancouver, British Columbia.

The cut-off date for reservations is: Thursday, June 18, 2009.

The room rates are $147.90/night and are for both single and double occupancy.

Rates are available from Sunday, July 12 to Thursday, July 16. The rates are also available for three days prior and 3 days after these dates if rooms are available.

Hotel Room Tax - 10.4%

Reservations must be guarantees with a major credit card OR a first-night's deposit.

Reservations must be cancelled at least 7 days prior to guest arrival, otherwise the first night's room rate will be charged to the guest.

Transportation Information

Airports

There are 3 airports that are near Semiahmoo Resort. They are:

Seattle, WA (or SeaTac) - Airport Code: SEA. Approximately a 2 hour drive from SeaTac to the resort.

Vancouver, BC, Canada - Airport Code: YVR. Approximately a 40 minute drive (including border crossing)

Bellingham, WA - Airport Code: BLI - Closest to the resort, approximately 20 minutes. Presently, Horizon, Alaska, Delta & American Airlines flies into BLI.

Local Transporation

Airporter Shuttle offers frequent round-trip service from SeaTac airport to Semiahmoo Resort. Blaine reservations for Airporter Shuttle must be made at least 12 hours in advance, and cannot be booked online. Call 1-866-235-5247 or 360-380-8800.

The one-way rate from SeaTac to Semiahmoo is $62.00 pp and $110.00 round trip. However, Airporter Shuttle offers discounts for people traveling together and paying with one credit card. Two traveling/paying together will pay $170.00 round trip.

Trips from Semiahmoo back to SeaTac are by reservation only.

For those coming into Vancouver, BC, QuickCoach offers shuttle service to the Bellingham airport. Bellingham airport is approximately a 30 minute taxi ride to Semiahmoo. Information can be found at www.quickcoach.com.  You can also rent a car, and it's about a 45 minute drive from Vancouver to Semiahmoo.  Taxi service from Vancouver is approximately $85 (Canadian).  It may be a good idea to contact a taxi service in advance: http://www.greatervancouver.worldweb.com/Transportation/Taxis/
