Poster and Proceedings Details

Manuscripts for the Conference CD and Proceedings

The proceedings for FOMMS 2009 (manuscripts based on the oral and poster presentations) will be published in the journal Molecular Simulation.  "Pre-print" manuscripts received by the conference organizers by June 5 will be included on a cd given to conference attendees.  There will be a date (not yet set) after the conference that will be the deadline for submission of manuscripts for review for inclusion in the proceedings in Molecular Simulation.

There is no particular set length for the manuscripts.  However, we recommend that you follow the "Instructions for Authors" for Molecular Simulation (link).

Poster presenters who prepare pre-print manuscripts should send them to admin@fomms.org .  Invited speakers should do the same (at minimum at least send a title and abstract for the program booklet).

Poster Presentations

FOMMS 2009 will include two poster sessions for the contributed papers.  One will be on Monday afternoon, July 13th and the other will be on Wednesday afternoon, July 15th.  Posters will be assigned to one of these two sessions.  A list poster assignments will be posted shortly.  It is expected that each attendee of FOMMS will be the primary presenter for at most one poster.

The poster boards will be double sided.  Each poster presentation will have ONE SIDE of a panel.  The poster area will be: width = 72 in (183 cm) and height = 48 in (122 cm).  The poster boards will be on stands.

Authors will be assigned a poster board in the designated poster area.  Posters can be put up during the afternoon before the assigned poster session.  The posters must be taken down IMMEDIATELY after the poster session concludes.  Posters left on the boards will be taken down and not returned.

Tables, chairs, internet and electrical hookup will NOT be provided.
